About Our Pastoral Charge
A rural faith family built on deep roots and open hearts.
Our Story
Two Communities, One Journey
Bishop Oxford Pastoral Charge represents the beautiful union of two historic congregations under The United Church of Canada: Bishop's Mills and Oxford Mills.
Originating as a cooperative ministry model, our pastoral charge allows these two distinct, vibrant rural hamlets in North Grenville to share pastoral leadership, resources, and fellowship. By working together, we ensure that the light of faith remains bright and active in our country villages.
Rather than working in isolation, our shared framework means that a lively choir member in Bishop's Mills and a dedicated outreach volunteer in Oxford Mills are part of the same spiritual family. We lean on each other, pray together, and serve our wider Eastern Ontario region as one united body.
